Java Documentation Redistribution Policy

JavaSoft's user and programmer documentation may not be redistributed on CD-ROM or printed in books or on the Web or translated to another language in part or in whole by anyone outside of JavaSoft. Unaltered screen shots of our Java applets and listings of their source code are permitted with proper attribution. This does not apply to applets in our documentation.

If you do use screen shots of Java applets, please send us a copy of each instance or send a copy of the completed paper or book to:

Documentation Manager
JavaSoft
MS CUP01-202
2550 Garcia Ave
Mountain View, CA 94043

Limited permission has been granted for redistributing the documentation in formats we don't yet support. These requests are handled on a case-by-case basis. Send mail to java@java.sun.com for more information.

Java licensees have some limited rights concerning document redistribution. If your company is a Java licensee, refer to your contract for more information.

Refer to our licensing page for more information on redistributing the binaries.

The Java Book Series will be translated into Japanese and German. For information about these or other translations, contact Mike Hendrickson at Addison-Wesley.
