The speed of innovation will accelerate. It will thus become all the more essential to effectively allocate resources and arrange activities so as to allow rapid action and reaction. Daimler-Benz is meeting these challenges by assuming the profile of an "integrated technology group". Four corporate divisions constitute the flexible components of a dynamic system: Mercedes-Benz, Daimler-Benz Aerospace (Dasa), AEG Daimler-Benz Industrie, and Daimler-Benz InterServices (debis).

debis: The brand name for sophisticated services. Because market and customer demands are constantly changing, organizational structures - and especially service structures - cannot be allowed to remain static. On the contrary, they must also achieve a state of continuous adaptation and development.

With its decentralized organization, debis provides integrated conceptual solutions for the corporate divisions of the Daimler-Benz group, as well as for other clients and individuals in industry, commerce, service operations and administration. debis has built up an international network of over 200 branches with regional centers, and already enjoys representation in 22 countries around the world.

Since debis was incorporated in July 1990, its total number of employees has risen from 3,600 to 9,226. Total revenues amounted to DM 10.8 billion in 1994. debis has set itself the goal of becoming one of the largest service companies in Europe - with headquarters in Berlin.
