These divisions offer high-voltage and medium-voltage technology, power line and grid construction, transformers, power supply units as well as protection and control technology.In the power generating and distribution sector, AEG Daimler-Benz Industrie is one of the five major system suppliers. The company covers the entire process chain, from decentralized power generation to power transmission and consumer applications. In the high-voltage sector, AEG Daimler-Benz Industrie also holds the position of technology leader.
Sustained expansion of the worldwide production and sales network means that great progress has been made in the internationalization of power generating and distribution. The inherently high level of technological potential is demonstrated by the fact that 80 percent of the products of this business field will not remain on the market in their present form for more than three years.
