    Six-cylinder, four-valve engine with 3199 cm³ displacement, 170 kW at 5600/min; Automatic five-speed transmission with programme selector.
  • SL 500
    Eight-cylinder, four-valve engine with 4973 cm³ displacement, 235 kW at 5600/min; five-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter lock-up clutch; electronic engine timing with integrated ignition, injection and air control and engine immobiliser; control unit combining the functions "roll-over bar release" and "soft top control."

    Twelve-cylinder, four-valve Engine with 5987 cm³ displacement, 290 kW at 5200/min; five-speed automatic transmission with a torque converter lock-up clutch; electronic engine timing with integrated ignition, injection and air control and engine immobiliser; control unit combining the functions "roll-over bar release" and "soft top control."
