Coupés: new entry-level model with
extensive standard specification

With the E 200 coupé, Mercedes-Benz has extended the model range of the successful E-class, introducing a reasonably priced entry model for those who aspire to the exclusive coupé class. Beneath the bonnet of this two-seater lies the proven 2.0 litre four-cylinder engine developing 100 kW/136 hp; fitted with four-valve technology and electronic fuel injection, it requires a mere 8.7 litres of premium fuel over 100 kilometres (Euromix). On country roads - at 90 km/h - it consumes a frugal 6.6 litres of fuel over 100 kilometres. Amongst other features, the standard specification of the new coupé model includes electric front windows, tinted glass, wide 195/65 R 15 tyres and Zebrano wood trim on the interior. Full-size airbags for driver and front passenger, belt tensioners and electric belt feeders for the front seats are also standard equipment, together with the central locking with infrared remote control and immobiliser.
