Etiquette & Rules

SIGGRAPH 97 welcomes your participation in the online panel discussions leading up to the SIGGRAPH 97 Conference technical sessions. However, we do ask that you observe the following guidelines.

Please insure that your comments remain within the panel subject area. Do not post personal questions, requests for technical support, or off-subject queries.

Please do not personally attack another contributor or a panel member. Dissenting viewpoints that promote lively debate are welcomed. Rude, defamatory, or obscene messages, especially when directed toward an individual, will not be added to the discussion.

Online panel discussions are expected to remain free of commercial interest. Your new product announcement or recruiting message will be better received in a more appropriate setting such as Usenet newsgroup, SIGGRAPH 97 Exhibition, or the SIGGRAPH 97 Career Center and Job Fair.
