How to setup an A\Box Campaign Site, and how the organizing works.

1. Requirements:

• Experience from simple web-editing.
• You must be able to update the site once a week with new files.
  

2. Contacting us, and getting the files you need.

• Send an e-mail about your interest in setting up a mirror, and the following information.
• Your computer platform
• How should the file be packed (ZIP, Lha, lzx, rar, arj ?)
• Are you allowed to use CGI scripts on your site ?
• Country, and location in country
• Some info about yourself to use on our page about the people behind this Campaign.

After you have sent this mail, you will within few days receive a packed file with the whole-webstructure.

• Make some minor changes (e.g e-mail adress of mirrorkeeper)
• If you want to keep the questionnaire on your site (you can link it to a mirror) you will have to change the CGI-script to the questionnaire to fit your webstructure.

 

3. How the A\Box Campaign is organised.

Updating the site
The swedish site is the mastersite. This means that this site always is like the other mirrors should be. This site is runned by Morgan, and he is the one who makes all new pages official. If everyone made changes by themselves, it would become chaotic. Every time Morgan updates a page on his site, he will send the page to the mirror-sites by e-mail. Each page will have a version number so you can check if you have the latest version when you compare to the master-site.

Can I change a page ?
If you see something that need to be changed or added, you can either send an e-mail to Morgan and explain what need to be added / changed. Or you can make a new version of the page yourself, present it somewhere on your own site, and tell Morgan by e-mail the adress to your new page suggestion. Then he can easily copy it, and make an official version to spread to all mirrors.
