When we tell people about IDRIS they say things like Really? Can I have a job? and I can think of a gazillion applications for this stuff! "This stuff" is a technology called knowledge discovery that we're really excited about. Part of our long term efforts are directed toward developing some very exciting products. Two or three years from now, we'll be a team of 20 or so working on things like information visualization, intelligent agents, market research systems...

IDRIS' facilities are in the design stage now, and ought to be very nice when they're eventually built. Our architect, Malcolm Wells, is quite well known for his earth-sheltered architecture.

Our products combine our middleware statistical inference engine - called the IDRIS Knowledge Engine - with interface techniques like multidimensional information visualization and system architectures that just love the Internet. Our current commercial activities include:

• Building first class web pages for commercial clients
• Building Internet-accessible text databases for clients, with retrieval in English or Chinese
• We're working on several projects with a major Asian information technology company

This page is heavily under construction. Within the next weeks we'll include more detail of our Web page service (we have HTMLized our price sheet yet), pointers to pages that we've done for others, and a few slick Web tricks that you probably haven't seen elsewhere. Check back soon and often!

We're planning on building an IDRIS Language Toybox. Here's a sneak preview of LingWhat, the IDRIS language decipherer thang! It's an HTML adaptation of a program to help you figure out what language an article is in.
