World Wide Web Servers

Here you can access lists of WWW servers at the U of U and throughout the state of Utah.

WWW servers at the University of Utah
- Here you can access the list of U of U departmental and administrative servers.
Utah WWW servers
- Here you can access a list of Web servers in the state of Utah including educational, commercial, and governmental servers.

Gophers

You can gain access to the U of U's many Gopher servers here. There is a great deal of information out there in Gopherland. The U of U has also developed a MacGopher client which can be downloaded from here.

University of Utah Gopher
- Here you can find out About the U of U Gopher Services (including What's New), you can access the U's MacGopher client and related communications applications, obtain General Campus Information, and information on the State of Utah including the State's Constitution, Legislative information, and news on education.
- Gopherspace at the U of U is searchable using Jughead. You can also use Veronica to search Gopherspace elsewhere on the internet.
Other University of Utah Gophers
- Many of the departments at the University of Utah run their own Gophers. This is a link to the current list of them.
Univ. of Utah Computer Center's Macintosh Public Domain Archive
- This is a collection of public domain and shareware compiled by UUCC. The archive needs to be cleaned up a bit and none of the files are compressed! This service is currently in the experimental state so things will change.

Telnet and TN3270

This section includes services at the University of Utah which require access through a telnet or TN3270 connection.

For the links in this section to work correctly, telnet or TN3270 (depending on the link) needs to be installed correctly on your client system.

University of Utah Library's Online Catalog
- This is a TN3720 link to the online catalog at the University of Utah. You will first be presented with instructions on how to logon to the system.

FTP

These are FTP sites at the U of U which can be accessed anonymously.

Univ. of Utah Computer Center's FTP Site
- FTP site for the Computer Center. The site contains the MacGopher client developed at the Computer Center.
Univ. of Utah Computer Center's Macintosh Public Domain Archive
- This is a collection of public domain and shareware compiled by UUCC. The archive needs to be cleaned up a bit and none of the files are compressed! This service is currently in the experimental state so things will change.
U of U Computer Science FTP Site
- FTP site for the University of Utah Computer Science department. The site contains Computer Science Department Guides, Technical Reports, Graduate Info, Graphics, and the Computer Tutor developed here at the University of Utah.
U of U Department of Mathematics
- This server is run by the University of Utah Mathematics Department and is an archive for TeX, math, and misc. other software.

Archie

Archie allows you to search the internet for particular items.

U of U Computer Center Archie Gateway
- The gateway will allow you to enter a keyword to search for and return the results in text format.

PH

PH allows you to search for information on an individual such as e-mail address and phone number.

U of U Computer Center PH Gateway
- The gateway will allow you to query a PH server.

Finger

Finger lets you access information about a particular user on a machine.

- The gateway will allow you to finger any user at any machine.

Image Databases

Here you can search a database of images and associated information.

Computer Center's Image Database
- The contents of this database vary from works of art to helpful hints on applications. You will first be presented with instructions.

You can access information about the weather through several sources on the internet. Below are links for information specific to Utah and for world wide weather information.

- A variety of weather information is available from the Department of Meteorology at the University of Utah.
