Capacity Building for Information Management
One of the key aims of the
Convention on Biological Diversity is to enable
all countries to benefit from environmentally sound development of their
natural resources. An essential part of this process is the availability
of reliable, up-to-date environmental information in a form directly
applicable to support management decisions. WCMC is exploring ways in
which it can apply its experience and expertise in collaboration with
others, to develop the capacity of countries to respond to the information
management implications of the convention. This is primarily being achieved
