He likes to see it as sort of a combination of experience and
experiment.
That's
where Publisher comes in. With Publisher, Ed's now gathered up
his ideas and created a one-of-a-kind brochure to put them in. A ready-
made template gave him somewhere to start from. (He could've even
started from scratch.) And soon enough Ed found himself deciding on
clip art from a library of 1,200 images. Choosing from more than 60
fonts. And rotating graphics and text. A Word Story Editor let him
edit text in Microsoft Word and automatically re-flowed the copy changes
back through the pages of his brochure in Microsoft Publisher. So
changing his brochure was as simple as changing his mind. There was
even a Layout Checker to spot design problems instantly and offer
solutions to correct them.
Of course, doing things his way wasn't really a new way for Ed to work.
Publisher just pointed him in the right direction and let him jump right
in. Heck, he didn't even need the galoshes.
