JavaGolf Applications on GolfWeb!
GolfWeb is buzzed on Java! Our first JavaGolf application, nicknamed
"GolfTicker," scrolls the contents of the What's New page
at the top of the GolfWeb Home Page. If you
don't see it, then you need to download either the
32 bit version
of the Netscape browser or the
beta version of the HotJava
browser.
As other browsers announce Java support we will
let you know about them as well! (Note: These are beta versions of
browsers and therefore not fully tested by Netscape or Sun Microsystems.
GolfWeb recommends you keep your current versions of these browsers on your
system as well.)
What is Java? And how does it relate to Netscape?
Java is a programming language for writing
interactive content on the World Wide Web, and the
NetScape browser has been
updated to display Java applications.
How can I send JavaGolf suggestions to GolfWeb's engineering staff?
GolfWeb's engineering group is eager to get feedback from our readers and
welcomes any and all of your ideas and comments. Just send your comments
to engineering@golfweb-hq.com.
