What are IndiaWorld Dollars?

The IndiaWorld Dollar (IW$) is IndiaWorld's very own virtual currency. You can earn IW$, and can spend IW$ -- within IndiaWorld.

IW$ will allow you to avail of some of IndiaWorld's special services, and enable you to participate in competitions and games on IndiaWorld. You can earn IW$ by winning competitions, referring others to IndiaWorld, setting quiz questions, giving us ideas and suggestions. We will be revealing more ways by which to earn and spend IW$ in due course of time.

IW$ are only for IndiaWorld subscribers

Participation in the schemes outlined here is only available to IndiaWorld subscribers. A one year subscription costs USD 20 (Indian Rupees 700), while a two-year subscription is available for USD 40 (Indian Rupees 1400). An online subscription form is available, if you wish to subscribe.

Note: The schemes mentioned here can be modified at IndiaWorld's discretion.

Earning IndiaWorld Dollars

Subscription: You get a start of 2 IW$ when you subscribe for 1 year, and 4 IW$ if you subscribe for 2 years.

Referral Bonus: You can earn IW$ when someone you have recommended IndiaWorld to subscribes to IndiaWorld. Each referral will get you 2 IW$. A new subscriber needs to type in your IndiaWorld login name in the referral field of the Subscription form for you to get credit. Film Recommendations: You can earn IW$ if we use your recommendations of good Indian films. [Additional Information]

Quiz Questions: If a question submitted by you is used in IndiaWorld's quizzes, you will be given 2 IW$ per question. [Additional Information]

Using IndiaWorld Dollars

Subscription Renewal: 20 IW$ can be used to renew your IndiaWorld subscription for one year.

Gifting: You can use your IW$ to send free gifts via Pacific Gift Service. Pacific delivers anywhere in India, and offers a wide selection of gifts for every occasion.

Greeting Cards: This Christmas and New Year, IndiaWorld offers you a very special complimentary service -- to send greeting cards to your friends and family in India. [Additional Information]

Your Own Web Page: IndiaWorld will create and host a personalised Web page for you. [Additional Information]

Viewing your IW$ Statement

You can check your IW$ transactions summary and balances at any time. In case of recent activity, please allow 2-3 days for transactions to be recorded.

The Future of IndiaWorld Dollars

IW$ will grow at two levels -- one, with the addition of more ways for you to earn and use IW$ (exclusively through the IndiaWorld Web site), and two, by enabling you to exchange IW$ with virtual currencies from other worlds that will be set up.

What you see here is just a beginning -- we envision IW$ becoming a powerful mechanism for enabling electronic transactions via IndiaWorld. We will reveal more in the coming weeks and months. So, stay tuned.
