IndiaWorld Subscription Form

Thank you for having decided to subscribe to IndiaWorld. A subscription will offer you unlimited access privileges to all the sections of IndiaWorld.

A one-year subscription to IndiaWorld costs USD 20 (Indian Rupees 700), while a two-year subscription costs USD 40 (Indian Rupees 1400).

This subscription form will let you select the mode of payment, and your login and password. Select the button marked Subscribe when you are through. This is at the bottom of the form, after the login and password selection.

In case we find problems with what you have filled in, you will be returned the filled-in form with a message at the top indicating where the possible problem is. In that case, please scroll down to the appropriate field and correct the problem.

Login and Password

Enter the login name you would prefer to have. The system will check its database of login names, and if the name does not clash with any existing user, you will be allotted the name of your choice.

Your login name is the name that you will identify yourself by, when your Web browser asks you for a login name and password while accessing IndiaWorld. Each IndiaWorld subscriber has a unique login name. In addition, you will also have a password.

Your login name can be upto 25 characters long. (Try to keep it shorter than about 15 characters.)
It can contain only the letters a-z, A-Z, the digits 0-9, - (the minus sign) . (the period) and _ (the underscore). It must start with a letter.
It cannot contain any spaces. The name J R R Tolkien is not acceptable. But J.R.R.Tolkien is fine.

If your preferred login name clashes with an existing one, the system can append two or three characters to your current name to make it unique, and allot the resulting name to you, if you so wish. For example, if you ask for the login name "Smith", and the system already has a Smith, the system can automatically append a few characters to "Smith" and allot, say, the name "Smith43a" to you, if you wish. If you don't want the system to do this, the system will check for name clashes, and will ask you to choose another name for yourself. Select the appropriate button on the form to tell the system how to handle a name clash.

Enter the password you would like to start with. You can (and should) change your password later, at periodic intervals. You must enter the password string twice here, to let us check that there are no typing errors.

Your password should be at least four characters long, and must not be the same as your login name. We suggest that you put in some digits, punctuation marks, or other non-alphabetic characters, in order to make it hard to guess.
