Meester Grapeflythe grapewire november

November 1997

Björk played two brilliant concerts on the 11th and 12th of November at the Shepherds Bush Empire. Both of these concerts were sold out, and so goes for the remainder of the European tour.

The European MTV Awards were on Thursday 6th of November, and Björk performed Bacherolette with The Icelandic Octet and Richard Brown of Outcast Productions, who is standing in for Mark Bell while he does some studio work.

And then there were sightings of Meester Fly who flew out to see what was on the grapewire.

bjork & mark Saturday night liveBjörk played Saturday Night Live on Saturday 18th of October, (wow! was it Saturday? how come?) There she played accompanied by the Icelandic String Octet and Mark Bell.

They were due to play two songs and did so during dress rehearsal, but on the night they only got to play one song due to the unfortunate over-running of some ball game. Of course the ball game came first!  But this is really old news.

If you were in the UK, you could see an "exclusive profile on Björk, filmed in Iceland, London and Spain" on the South Bank show, ITV, on the 9th of November at 10.50 PM:

"Melvyn Bragg profiles Icelandic pop star Bjork, one of the most innovative figures on the contemporary music scene with her mix of dance beats, jazz phrasing and classical arrangements. The programme looks back over her career, which began with her first record at the age of 12 and has turned into international success with the band The Sugarcubes and, since 1993, as a solo artist."

tshirtsThose interested in looking OK and need some therapy, and we mean of course the retail one should be interested in the new wearables. There are a number of new t-shirts, like these ones.

They are now available on-line through the TeePee and Fanclub.
