Transmission

The S 350 TURBODIESEL and the S 320 - S 600 are fitted with four-speed automatic transmission as standard. The S 280 with a five-speed manual gearbox. Five-speed automatic transmission is optionally available for the six-cylinder petrol models. All cars with automatic transmission have Tempomat cruise control as standard. The electronic traction support system (ETS) is standard in the S 280, S 320 and S 350 TURBODIESEL. Acceleration skid control (ASR) is standard in models S 420 - S 600.
