- Davide Berveglieri had been studying computer science and process control at Politecnico di Milano (1988-1993). He graduated with a Thesis concerning Chimera, an active, deductive and object-oriented database environment in the context of the IDEA ESPRIT Project. His advisor was Professor Stefano Ceri. He implemented the schema definition compiler for Chimera.
- jun-dec 1993: he had been working as consultant at the Centro di Cultura Scientifica Alessandro Volta in Villa Olmo, Como (I) on run-time system architectures for remote access to free-framework documents stored in very large databases (databanks), under the supervision of Professor Pierluigi Della Vigna.
- apr-jul 1994: he had been working as an experted consultant for three months in 1994 with Politecnico di Milano in order to design a interface to a deductive database with active rules, under the supervision of Professor Fabio Schreiber.
- jul-oct 1994: he has been designing the departmental World Wide Web database for Dipartimento di Elettronica e Informazione at Politecnico di Milano.
- jan-dec 1994 he is currently working on the Tycoon Language extension to object and role a la Fibonacci, in the context of FIDE 2-ESPRIT project, under the supervision of Dr. Florian Matthes and Professor Joachim Schimdt.
The emphasis of his current research lies in the fields of active database architectures and semantics and in the role mechanism for object-oriented (database and not) languages.
