The Master Files are at the core of the db trader information storage and retrieval functionality. They contain all the static information that drives the automated processes of the system. They are organized for ease of cross-referencing, on-line editing and batch processing and are accessible via PF-keys from all screens in the system where inquiry views could be of help. Browsing the Master Files - using alternate paths and / or sorts - is available to all users. Updates and additions to the Master Files are easily performed by authorized persons.

When a security has special conditions, such as a call schedule, an extension screen or schedule is appended to the security's record. Any instrument processed by db trader is set up in the one security masterfile.
Interfaces to pricing services and to security data providers are in place and may easily be expnaded to local needs. Regional and Global Security Master files can be converted and incorporated.

Account Master FileThe Account Master File stores all relevant client information.
Account Master File extensions are used for capturing: Delivery Instructions, Fees, Trading Currency Preferences, Record of Agreements, Limits, Interested Parties and Commodity Account Agreements. The Commodity Account Agreements include: Margin, Credit, Debit, Offset, Commission, Margin Currency Priority, and Collateral Priority. The wealth of information linked to an account greatly improves the capability of automated processing later on.
