You've read all the FAQs, searched the web site high and low, and you still haven't found the answer to your question. You'd like to get some kind of assistance from a real human being, and we want you to get the help you need.

We have several e-mail addresses to which you can send questions regarding a variety of problems. While we'll always try to help you no matter which address you send your request to, we are faster at assisting you when your message goes to the right address. So before you send in your question, check the descriptions below for the group most appropriate for your issue.

Be's customer service group is ready to help you with non-technical customer issues. They can help you with:

  • Tracking product orders
  • Damaged disk or CD replacement
  • BeBox service and warranty issues (RMAs)

Be's developer services is here to help developers with developer-specific, non-technical issues. Contact them to:

  • Determine your lost developer ID or password
  • Change your name or company information in the developer database
  • Check the status of your developer application

Be's Customer Technical Support group can help you with BeBox and BeOS related technical questions that are not answered in the Be FAQs. In general, if your technical question does not include code, this is the place to ask. You should contact them if you have questions about:

  • Installing the BeOS
  • Configuring the BeOS
  • Using the BeOS
  • Software or hardware compatibility
  • Diagnosing a problem with your BeBox

The Be Developer Technical Support group's purpose is to help Be developers create new and exciting software. In general, if your question includes code, or is asking for it, this is the right place to ask. Contact our DTS folks if you have questions about:

  • Programming under the BeOS
  • Why your code doesn't work
  • Request sample code or programming tutorials on specific topics
  • Clarifications to information in the Be Book
  • Whether a problem is a bug in your code or the BeOS
