Welcome to the University of Toronto. The University is committed to being an internationally significant research university with undergraduate, graduate and professional programs of excellent quality.

The University community consists of approximately 45,000 undergraduate students, 8,000 graduate students, 3,300 academic & librarian staff, and 7,300 administrative & union staff. This community is accommodated in 258 buildings spread over three large campuses: St George campus in downtown Toronto, Scarborough College 33 kilometres (21 miles) to east, and Erindale an equal distance to the west. The University's Libraries provide the community with access to over 7.7 million books, 37 thousand serial subscriptions, and millions of other materials. Every imaginable discipline is covered at the University and there are 66 doctoral specializations.


There are many World Wide Web and Gopher information services at the University of Toronto, with material of interest to the university and international communities. This page can only provide some starting points for exploration.
