 to the NetWings Information Site. NetWings is based on the premise that it should and can be easy for an organization or an individual to create and maintain a strong, coherent, and integrated presence on the Internet. What is NetWings? It's an http, smpt,pop3 server, listserve software, and in some instances it's a client. It's an internet site generator and maintainer. It's a forms/database interface that doesn't require that you know how to code. It's...a lot of different functions designed into one application. It runs on the Mac and soon Windows, then Unix. This site is a NetWings site running over a 14.4. dialup connection to the net. It would be easy for us to overlook inefficient code if we ran over a faster connection and we want NetWings to be as efficient as possible.
The Macintosh version of NetWings 1.0 and a free 30 day fully functional Evaluation Demo are now available. Pricing depends upon your situation and the degree of customization you need us to do prior to delivery. For details on pricing send email to Service@netwings.com.
Here are two versions of the NetWings Demo. One is for those of you who already have a copy of 4D Runtime version 3.xx. It is time dated to shutdown after 30 days. The other is for those of you who don't already own a runtime. It is completely self-contained, but it must touch one of our sites across the internet each and every time it starts up. If we're down, it's not going to run. If this proves to be too troublesome and you decide you want to buy a runtime we can help point you at some sources. We recommend using a power pc for NetWings, but it runs on lower architecture machines. There are no known incompatabilities with Ram-Doubler, and the more memory the better.
