This sea-kindly motion is only one of Hans Christian's first requirement -- safety. A rested crew is a safe crew. A protected crew, protected by Hans Christian construction, is a safe crew. We build yachts to the time-tested traditions of the sea. Hans Christians are the heirs of years of design effort going back to the original Dutch sailing "jaghts" of the 16th century, through the Colin Archer North Sea designs, and including the proven practices of today's best naval architects.
We do not believe in fads. This doesn't mean that Hans Christians aren't beautiful. They are. Beautiful because there form is right, fitting, and functional. Everything is done for a reason; teak decks are the original non-skid surface, solid tealk soles can be refinished, solid teak staving doesn't delaminate, carefully designed galleys allow cooking offshore, and traditional styling gives you something to hang onto in rough weather.
The Hans Christian fleet consists of three lines: the traditional Hans Christian double-enders with substantial bulwarks, the Christina series with contemporary underbodies and looks, and the Independence trawlers for those who want Hans Christian quality in a power yacht.
More than one thousand Hans Christians are sailing the oceans of the world. Join Hans Christian family and answer the call of the sea.
