Hollywood Squares
Hollywood Squares was more than a game show. Occupying a most unique
position on America's pop-cultural landscape, it served as a final resting place--or
something darned close to it--for celebrities whose time had come and gone. Paul Lynde,
Rose Marie, Cliff Arquette, Wally Cox. Don't those names conjure up some very special
memories?
The show, which went through several incarnations and hosts, went off the air in 1989.
We think it's high time for a revival. Here are our suggestions for new occupants of the
coveted cubbyholes:
