Welcome to TV Tonite

Prime-Time TV for Thursday, 27 April, 1995
(plus late-night shows)

This evening's SOTTO (Summarization of
Tonight's Television Offerings) Rating: **

-----

Broadcast highlights (all times Eastern/Pacific,
except where noted; please adjust for Central/
Mountain zones):

A new sexual technique invented by "Seinfeld"

works just great for Elaine's boyfriend; but
George finds a way to use it to his disadvantage.
(NBC, 9.00)

Cyndi Lauper makes another guest appearance as
Ira's ex-wife on "Mad About You." Patrick Ewing of
the New York Knicks also appears. (NBC, 8.00)

There's a new two-hour "Matlock" movie on tonight.
It ends by 10.00, so all you Grandpa Simpsons out
there won't have to stay up late to catch the
ending. (ABC, 8.00)

The glamour. The passion. The grace. The same damn

people doing the same damn things they did in the
last damn figure skating special. It's the "World
Team Challenge," from West Palm Beach, Florida.
(CBS, 8.00)

"48 Hours" preps you for your next visit to the
thieving slime who is your auto mechanic.
(CBS, 10.00)

Cable highlights:

"Saturday Night Fever" contains the great line,
"You hit my hair!" If you don't get to Brooklyn as
much as you'd like to, you'll be glad to know that
Bensonhurst and Bay Ridge (Tony Manero's turf)

haven't changed much in the last 18 years.
(USA, 9.00)

In "Europa, Europa," a Jewish boy successfully
masquerades as an Aryan, and even makes time with
hot Nazi babe Julie Delpy. No, it's not an update
of "Hogan's Heroes," it's a European drama, and a
good one at that. Subtitled. (BRV, 9.00)

Whatever you might think about Camille Paglia's
version of feminism, at least it's never anywhere
near as dull as what's espoused (and espoused and
espoused and espoused) in the 1980 telepic "The

Women's Room." (LIF, 9.00)
