ETSU's current President, the seventh in our 84-year history, is Dr. Roy S. Nicks, a native Tennessean who served as Chancellor of our governing body, the Tennessee Board of Regents, from 1975-86.
ETSU has two Centers of Excellence and seven Chairs of Excellence that enhance the teaching, research, and service mission of the university.
ETSU offers a number of one-of-a-kind programs such as the world's only master's degree in storytelling and reading and the nation's only bluegrass and country music program at a four-year institution.
