Nicks, a native Tennessean who served as Chancellor of our governing body, the Tennessee Board of Regents, from 1975-86.

ETSU offers a number of one-of-a-kind programs such as the world's only master's degree in storytelling and reading and the nation's only bluegrass and country music program at a four-year institution.
