BMI is a non-profit making organization representing more than 160,000 songwriters, composers, and music publishers with a repertoire of more than 3,000,000 works in all areas of music. BMI distributes royalties to its affiliates for the public performance and digital home copying of their works, and in the future, will distribute potential new royalties for the use of their works in cyberspace.
REPERTOIRE - We are now beta-testing a new database of 7.5 million items which will permit a search of BMI's song repertoire by title, songwriter, or music publisher. Check in this area for the repertoire database activation this spring.
