The local market appears to be very soft. The product that has had the most sales activity is the lower end of the medium priced residential. The average market days has increased by 50% over the same period last year, thus taking longer to sell the average listing. In order for homes to sell in todays marketplace the price must be very attractive for a prospective purchaser. Purchasers are looking for that special bargin, and in order to attract the purchaser the seller must use every tool he can to make contact with the purchaser. The anxious seller is beginning to lower his asking price and the market appears to be reacting favourably to this. There are buyers out there, and they're looking for a deal.
