FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
HOUSTON, Texas, Friday, October 28, 1994 -- The Tenagra Corporation (Tenagra) today announced the creation of the World Wide Web Aerospace Business Development Center on the Internet. The World Wide Web Aerospace Business Development Center consists of a collection of hyperlinks to NASA, government, and commercial information sources useful to aerospace business professionals.
The Aerospace Business Development Center can be accessed directly at its Internet address: "http://arganet.tenagra.com/Tenagra/aero_bd.html", or by links from other Internet documents. These "hyperlinks" are part of the Internet World Wide Web, a global hypertext network widely acclaimed for its versatility and ease of use. From links on the Aerospace Business Development Center, Internet users can access procurement information at NASA field centers, NASA acquisition forecasts, solicitations from NASA and other government agencies, the Federal Acquisition Regulations, information from the General Services Administration and the Small Business Administration, along with press releases related to the use of the Internet by NASA and contractors. Also accessible from the Aerospace Business Development Center are the results of a survey recently conducted by The Tenagra Corporation to assess education levels and attitudes towards the use of the Internet among aerospace professionals.
The Tenagra Corporation specializes in helping businesses and organizations market their products and services over the Internet. According to Dr. Clifford R. Kurtzman, President of Tenagra, "the Aerospace Business Development Center will serve as a central reference and starting point for aerospace professionals navigating the World Wide Web. Previously, this information was so spread out that gaining access to the various resources was cumbersome. Our Business Development Center now provides a central resource to Tenagra's customers and the aerospace community in general."
Founded in April, 1993, The Tenagra Corporation supplies information systems products and services that provide its customers a competitive edge in an ever changing and evolving marketplace. In addition to providing Internet related services, Tenagra supports the aerospace community in the development of a variety of high technology software applications, including the design and implementation of software systems for commercial spacecraft mission control centers, shuttle payload simulators, and astronaut trainers. Tenagra is a member of the NASA Johnson Technology Commercialization Center, which is operated by the IC2 Institute, the international research center for the study of Innovation, Creativity and Capital, at The University of Texas at Austin.
