ARCView Tutorial and Index
The ARCView Tutorial and Index is a guide to using ArcView, a commercial
Windows-based Geographical Information System (GIS). This guide includes a
number of tutorials, an index to two data sets, ARCWorld and ARCUSA.
ArcView permits researchers to link data such as census statistics to maps
to create spatial representations of information. The ArcView system is
available for use in the Map Library on the eighth floor of the Harlan
Hatcher Graduate Library at the University of Michigan. The ArcView
Tutorial and Index also provides links to other Internet resources
related to GIS and suggestions for further reading.
School of Information and Library Studies students, Terese Austin, Steven
Bischof, Carol Briggs-Erickson, Elizabeth Brozyna collaborated to develop
this service and they were advised in the project by Karl Longstreth,
University Map Librarian.
