Welcome to Twics!

Twics has provided network access for individuals and companies in Japan since 1984, and has a long history of "firsts," most notably becoming Japan's first public-access Internet system in October, 1993. This page points you to information about Twics, as well as information, resources, art, and other data being made available by our members.

What you'll find here:

Twics information pages will describe our services, history, and point you to some of our staff. We're still kind of working on this one.
Twics has always based its operations on the idea that "The People are the System." The Index of Member Home Pages introduces you to some of our members, and is updated daily.
In addition to personal home pages, some Twics members have also created pages describing services which they (or their companies) offer. An index of Services Offered by Twics Members is also updated every day.
A dynamically created WWW version of the Online Help for the Twics command line interface is also available.

Current Twics members interested in creating personal home pages or pages describing services should check the Twics WWW Guidelines for information on how to get started.
