Internet wire feasibility discussion group (virtual-wire)

Introduction
The purpose of this group is to discuss the feasibility of establishing an internet based wire service. This wire service would use the internet as its transport means rather than the traditional satellite uplink/downlink systems that is used today.

Areas of concern
How would such a system work? How should media outlets be credited? How would we handle competing media in one city, state, or province? Is e-mail the best way to transmit stories? or would news work better? There are many other questions to consider, so let's talk about this.
