Sonoma State University Alumni Art Exhibition

This exhibition presents the work of 16 former students of Sonoma State University, located about 50 miles north of San Francisco in Northern California. Since its modest beginnings in the basement of the science building in 1960 (long before the current Art Building opened in 1978), the department has graduated more than 1,000 art majors, a number of whom have gone on to distinguished careers as artists, educators, and related positions in the arts. This is the first alumni exhibition organized by the University Art Gallery, and the first of an ongoing series of on-line exhibitions presented by the Gallery.
