The PRS Public Gopher Server is the information Gopher server run by the District Media Technologies Office. We are transitioning all important materials to our Web site, so many items on our Gopher are outdated.

WWW Related Software...

• NCSA Mosaic for the Macintosh (including Power Mac). This links directly to the HTML by UIUC (the creators of NCSA Mosaic). This site contains up to the second updates.
• Netscape is a more advanced web viewer than Mosaic. It has some interesting features (such as interlaced graphics preview).
• Sparkle is the MPEG Movie player that is used by Mosaic. Download this if you would like to view MPEG movies online.
• SoundMachine is for use when you need to listen to sounds online with Mosaic.
• JPEGView is for viewing JPEG compressed images online or off.
• Fetch is the defacto Mac FTP Client.
• NCSA Telnet is the defacto Telnet Client.
• TurboGopher is the defacto Mac Gopher Client.
