The World Wide Web (WWW) provides a standard for multimedia documents. The
Hyper Text Markup Language (HTML) contains text, graphics, audio and video
information which are hyper-linked to other WWW documents across the Internet.
With this standardized communication, the Web is rapidly becoming the most accessed service
on the Internet.
Fox-Novator can build and manage your product catalog on the InternetÅs World
Wide Web. Our proprietary software automates much of the catalog
development/maintenance process and the catalog customer order fulfillment
process.
Catalog Development/Maintenance Service
- Design. We first design the catalog structure, page types, page layouts,
graphic standards, and the corresponding database structure. Working with your organization,
a prototype is quickly produced for review and iterative refinement.
- Database Entry. Next, we complile the product information that will appear in the
catalog. This informaton is translated and loaded into our database system.
- Catalog Generation. Once entered into the database, our HTML Generator software
automatically creates the WWW catalog in HTML. The home page is usually constructed manually.
Once this is completed, the catalog is ready for the Internet.
- Maintenance. We provide Internet-based email protocols for specifying changes to
catalog content. All changes communicated using these protocols will be entered into the
database, and the corresponding WWW pages re-generated automatically and within minutes of
receipt. Indeed, the WWW-based catalog can be changed continuously, if desired.

by our software.

returned to the customer with appropriate instructions.

The astonishing growth of the Internet as a commercial medium has brought with
it new opportunities for business growth. However, the Internet culture and
technology is very new to many companies. The path from recognizing the
opportunity to actualizing it can be time-consuming and marked by pit-falls.
Fox-Novator is uniquely positioned to help establish businesses on the Internet. Our company
combines both extensive technical experience with the Internet and years of experience in
direct marketing. The expertise of our principals is available to your
company on a consulting basis to help plan your path to a successful presence on the
Internet. We can also help to implement your Internet Marketing Plan, using our
proprietary techniques, software, and systems.
Needs Assessment Process
We have designed a process that will help us understand your marketing plans and
priorities as well as your existing information technology capabilities. We can
combine this knowledge with our experience to draft an Internet Marketing
Plan - a plan of action that will spell out how to move forward with
confidence.
- Phase One: Marketing Overview. We would study your existing marketing plan, in
order both to understand your target market as well as the advertising and
promotion plans you use today. Organizational issues such as channel conflict
and operational issues around customer service and fulfilment are studied as
well.
- Phase Two: Technology Overview. We analyze your existing product line as
represented on existing information systems. How are products represented? Do
multi-media representations of products exist, and if so, in what form? We
study the nature and periodicity of changes to your product line and the impact
this will have on systems design. We consider the staff capabilities you have in
place, and the impact this will have on an Internet project. We analyze your
organization's ability to deliver Internet services, and how this impacts your
marketing plans.
- Phase Three: Report and Recommendation. Once we conclude our research, we submit
a written report that outlines the marketing opportunities available for you on
the Net; what technology you will need and what human resources you will need to
exploit these opportunities, and evaluate these resource needs against your
existing capabilities. Recommendations for next steps will be presented.
