Welcome to Silent Records America's premier ambient record label. Silent
began in 1986, when there was little outlet for ambient music to get to
the public. As the ambient movement began to swell, fueled by the rave scene,
Silent was there cresting the wave, bringing more and more styles of ambient
to the people and helping to define ambient culture. Our releases run the
gamut from ethereal cerebral sounds to brain hemi-sync tools to techno
