ISnet - The Icelandic Internet

ISnet is a collective term for the Icelandic segments of
NORDUnet and
EUnet. The network is operated by the University of Iceland, Computing
Services on behalf of SURIS (The Association of Research Networking in
Iceland). ISnet serves approximately 100 sites
with over 5000 registered hosts.
The ISnet external connection is a 256 Kb connection to the NORDUnet
center in Stockholm.
In addition to basic Internet connectivity, ISnet provides its member networks
with access to the following services:
- Electronic mail
- Archive Services
- Usenet
- Information Services (Gopher, WWW and WAIS)
- Directory services
