The EPA is an independent agency in the Executive Branch, and is directed by the Administrator Carol M. Browner.
The EPA provides the comprehensive Access EPA document describing environmental information, as well as a number of other pointers to Information Locators that can be obtained from the EPA and related organizations. In addition to this document the EPA's Public Information Center is available to provide assistance in accessing environmental information. An experimental EPA People Locator is also available.
