The Electro-Optics Technology Center (EOTC) at Tufts University was founded in 1984 in response to the need for increased electro-optics educational activities in the Boston area.
The EOTC offers a program which has strong ties to local industry and non-profit laboratories.
The educational portion of EOTC program involves both graduate teaching and research in an interdisciplinary environment. M.S. and Ph.D. programs are offered.
The EOTC has a hands-on approach to electro-optics education that is best described by the philosophy: motivate, make, measure, and model.
