Welcome to the WWW interface to the Internet Movie Database

So what's here ?

Well if it's movie related, it might be quicker to ask, what's not here ?. There are;

lots of movie details, tens of thousands of movies are covered, from the earliest of silents movies to films which are still in production.
biographies and filmographies on hundreds of thousands of actors, actresses, directors and more.
enough information to melt even the brain of a black belt in movie trivia.
ratings and reviews.
lots, lots more, more than in any movie guide books you can buy.
there are even some pictures and sounds thrown in for good measure.

...but don't take my word for it, here's what other people have said about the database.

The WWW interface to the Internet Movie Database has several homes, and we hope that you will do your bit to reduce worldwide network traffic by using the database at the site nearest you.

All the sites offer the same data, so there's no reason for not using the site nearest you. However, if the site you choose gives slow access, then you can simply pick another.

Be sure to note/bookmark at least two of these addresses. If your regular server is ever unavailable, you won't know where to find the alternatives.
