Christmas Around the World
Christmas Traditions Around the World
Christmas is one of the few holidays that is celebrated worldwide with as many traditions as there are countries. Whether the symbols of Christmas are the Yule Log, Fir Pine tree, or singing carols, the spirit rarely changes: The Spirit of Giving and Good Will towards everyone.
(The following are several essays from
the book Christmas Everywhere by Elizabeth Hough Sechrist).
Other Holidays during this Season:
- Kwanzaa - an African American spiritual holiday
- Hannukah (coming soon - article submissions welcome)
