  An independent service provided to the Computing and Systems Technology (CAST) Division of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE). The CAST Division sponsors activities in the general areas of process systems engineering, operations, control, optimization, and applied mathematics and computation. The WWW pages are an archive for recent postings to the list. The pages include meeting information, job and postdoc listings, an address book, and pointers to other internet resources.

  A Bulletin Board established by the American Institute of Chemical Engineers to provide information on meetings, publications, committees, and local sections as well as employment services for AIChE members. • Gopher server: Hungarian Journal of Industrial Chemistry

  The Hungarian Journal of Industrial Chemistry (HJIC) provides an international forum for the presentation of original research, interpretative reviews and papers (articles, short communications) of new developments. The HJIC is a quarterly periodical and each yearly volume contains about 360 pages. The HJIC deals with the result of applied and fundamental research in the field of unit operations, chemical processes, chemical and biochemical engineering, waste minimization, environmental protection and pollution control in processing techniques, in the form of original articles written in English.

  San Diego State University Library's Science Division provides students with automated reference access to selected resources in the discipline of chemistry. Chemical Resources is a menu driven reference advisory module capable of answering a limited number of frequently asked questions concerning the appropriate reference tools through which to find information in Chemistry. Reference resources include indexes, databases, atlases, handbooks, dictionaries, encyclopedias, monographs, core journals and directories.

  The Scientific and Technical Information Network. This network is operated cooperatively by Fachinformationszentrum (FIZ) Karlsruhe, Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) of the American Chemical Society (ACS), and the Japan Information Center of Science and Technology (JICST). Service Centers in Karlsruhe, Columbus and Tokyo are linked by sea cable (TAT8). Thus, the users have access to one worldwide information service with up-to-date databases in science and technology. The STN centers have many years of experience in the field of scientific information.

  Brown University and the Theoretical Chemistry and Molecular Physics Group at the Los Alamos National Laboratory sponsor the Chemical Physics Preprint system. This database is intended to provide a means for rapid and efficient preprint distribution within the international chemical physics community.

• Gopher server: Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), University of Utah Chemistry Department

  An archive of unlicensed/unrestricted publicly distributable Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) in ASCII text file format. The text files are given the common or product name of the material.

  The database contains information on hazardous properties such as flammability and corrosivity, toxic effects such as carcinogenicity, toxicity, and target organ.
