  General Information on the Home of the Eagles
  Lancaster High School (LHS) is currently under construction by true craftsmen (the campus is beautiful!!) at the intersection of 32nd Street West and Lancaster Boulevard in the Antelope Valley area of the southern Mojave Desert in California. The current schedule is for site completion by the end of July so that staff can be ready for the September opening. Faculty and admistration are designing a modern techology-based curriculum with guidance from parents and the community. Current plans involve career academies for all students, access to on-site TV production facilities, and true linking to the electronic superhighway.

  We've been to the site with a digital camera and finally have pictures online. Great thanks to out at Edwards AFB who let us scan in tons of photos while we wait for our computers to get here. The purchase orders are written, so we're expecting to start filling up the district warehouse very soon.

  Information on the Opening of the School

  The Antelope Valley Union High School District has announced the opening of Lancaster High School, home of the Eagles, for the fall 1995 semester. The school will be open to freshmen only for this first year and will grow to full capacity over four years. The temporary offices for the school are located in the Antelope Valley Union High School District Office, located at 44811 North Sierra Highway.
