In 1991 we decided to expand our area of interest abroad, and have
succesfully learned how to locate highly qualified
specialists abroad. Most of the information listed below pertains to
foreign specialists looking for work in the US.
Committed to expanding our data processing/automation
consultancy, we are inviting bright, ambitious professionals
to join our quest for excellence. If you have a degree in
data processing, automation, electronics, electrical
engineering or a related field (or any other field if you
have developed significant expertise in computers) and you are looking
for work in the United States, we can help you.
We offer non-US
computer/automation professionals an opportunity to work in the USA. This
includes: finishing learning English; learning what a western society
is all about; and learning to work in a competitive economic
system.
To those who succeed as workers in the US, we offer the
chance to become familiar with up to date technology.
We will help you develop your career in the
computer/automation industry as much as possible by exposing
you to technical and educational assistance, computers and
computer networks, and sophisticated software and hardware.
It is important that anyone planning on joining us understand the order
in which things will happen. It is also important to
understand just how big of a challenge it is to work in America, but that
the rewards can be quite gratifying.
- Above all, we are seeking self-motivated people, capable of
handling distance from family, long periods of stress, and
work under pressure in a competitive environment. You have to
be prepared for a much higher level of uncertainty than you
may be used to and for a lack of a long-term guarantees: no
one is secure given the fluctuations in the US economy.
- Masters Degree with good or very good marks.
- 2 or more years
(after degree) of professional experience in computers,
automation, graphics, process control or a related field.
- Ability to read, write, and speak English.
- Ambition and commitment to hard work.
Our clients need help in the following categories;
- Computers: mainframes, Unix platforms, PCs, and embedded
code in instruments or other electromechanical systems.
- Languages: Cobol, C, Pascal, dBase, Clipper, etc.
- Applications for business or technical clients.
- Computer design, circuit development, PLC
design and implementation, and other EE related tasks.
Typical assignments:
- Member of programming team.
- Computer operator/system manager
software/hardware support (phone
and hands-on).
- Network installation and support.
Both Amerisoft and its clients expect that you will be loyal to us; many
American firms have been hurt by foreign workers who have
benefited from training and company support who then quit and go
to work for the highest bidder. To avoid such a conflict of interest,
we expect that you will agree not to do this, along with some other
simple points which are
spelled out in your letter of agreement.
You will be required to sign a letter of agreement before arriving to the US;
this agreement will adress issues of employment, confidentiality
and performance.
By entering the US on a visa issued in connection with our application, you
agree to abide by the stipulations as layed out in the letter of agreement.
We are absolutely committed to your success, but since we
cannot control the economy, your performance, or the needs of
our clients we cannot honestly promise you a permanent job.
However as long as you persist and maintain a professional
attitude and demeanor, we will match your efforts towards
your success in the US.

James T. Lewis & Associates has been helping companies in the
American heartland (Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois)
improve their profitability for almost twenty years. In the
70's, the focus was on financial control and strategic
issues. As the 80's moved on we increasingly directed our
efforts at "high tech" issues such as R & D and computer
science. Now in the 90's we are expanding our consulting
staff to service our clients' data processing, networking,
computer aided design/manufacturing, numeric control,
real-time systems, graphics, and automation needs.
To meet these objectives we have formed a subsidiary,
Amerisoft, chartered to identify and recruit the most
talented and experienced data processing professionals from
anywhere in the world. Clients have included such firms as
LTV, Brush Wellman, Revco, Forest City Enterprises,
Ameritrust Bank, Patterson-Leitch, BP Oil, Harris Wholesale,
LDI, Reliance Electric, Progressive Insurance and more.
J. T. Lewis received a Masters Degree from Harvard Business
School in 1966. While there he started a
marketing/publishing company which he financed with his
earnings from R&D consulting projects for a major US
aerospace manufacturer. He sold his publishing company and
took early retirement at age 29 to travel around America. He
"unretired" back to consulting and gained wide business
experience advising numerous companies in the industrial
section of the US. Over the past 15 years he has
concentrated his attention on clients who are looking for
interesting, leading edge solutions to their problems.
Z. J. Tyrlik graduated with honors from the University of Gdansk with a Master
of Economics and Data Processing degree in 1978. After a successful career in
organization development consulting, he earned another Master's degree, this
time in Psychology. Mr. Tyrlik moved to USA to pursue a special three year
training program in Industrial Psychology at the world famous Gestalt
Institute. He joined Mr. Lewis as a principal consultant implementing
multiplatform system solutions and assisting clients with the man/machine
issues arising from the intensified American use of PCs.
Mr Tyrlik created and maintains APK, the
first commercial Internet Service
Provider in Ohio in 1992.
Other active members of our team have similar experience and
education. They include both full and part time workers
functioning as managers and as senior technical specialists.
