David Garver -- Vice President for Research and Development
Federal Information Exchange, Inc. has named David Garver -- former Director of the National Science Foundation's FastLane Electronic Commerce Initiative -- as its Vice-President for Research and Development. Federal Information Exchange is an industry leader in on-line information services and electronic research administration. David Garver will head the company's National Electronic Commerce Initiative with colleges and universitites, private foundations and the Federal government.

The Hispanic Association of Colleges & Universities (HACU) has issued its Call for Papers for the HACU Ninth Annual Meeting in New York, NY. Sept. 30 - Oct. 3, 1995: "Riding the Tidal Wave of Change: Implications for Hispanics." Deadline for submitting proposals is April 20, 1995. Call (210) 692-3805 for proposal forms.

POST-DOCTORAL POSITION AVAILABLE:
NIAID is seeking a Ph.D., M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. Scientist to build a recombinant protein expression research program for vaccine development and/or structural studies of proteins derived from parasitic diseases (e.g., malaria). Vacancy Announcement at National Institute on Drug Abuse
The National Institute on Drug Abuse, of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is recruiting to fill the position of Scientific Director of its Intramural Research Program (IRP). The Director of the IRP is responsible for the direction of the largest single research center in the world dedicated to basic biomedical and clinical research on drug abuse and addiction. The Director manages a program of substantial resources which is comprised of several large multi-disciplinary preclinical laboratories and clinical research programs that include both inpatient and outpatient facilities. The position is located in Baltimore, Maryland on the Hopkins Bayview campus.
