Horticulture

A horticultural showpiece, the 79-acre Garden opened to the public in 1859. With an eye to the future, founder Henry Shaw established a garden of consequence dedicated to research, display, and public education. Information on Plants in Bloom is now available on the Garden gopher. A Web version, with images, is under construction.
