This is the home page of the Space Data and Computing
Division (SDCD), part of NASA/Goddard Space Flight Center's
Earth Sciences
Directorate. The SDCD is a computational
support organization which plays a key role in NASA science programs
that advance knowledge through space research. The SDCD also conducts
programmatic activities intended to keep computer operations,
facilities, and infrastructure on the leading edge of technology. An
overview of the mission and organizational structure of the SDCD is
described in the
SDCD Overview.
What's New
- SDCD Highlights
- Descriptions of Division highlights, including schedules of upcoming
events, new technological capabilities, project milestones, and other
timely SDCD news. Updated frequently.
- The GLOBE Visualization Server
- Visualizations of forecast, remote sensing, and student-gathered data
concerning the Earth's environment for the
GLOBE Program.
This server is a joint project of the
Scientific Applications and Visualization Branch
and the
Mesoscale Dynamics and Precipitation Branch.
-
Satellite Tracking of Threatened Species Home Page
- The Information Science and Technology Branch worked with Dr.
David Ellis of the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service to produce this page
on the involvement of NASA satellites and GSFC direct readout
capabilities in the efforts to save threatened wildlife species.
- ADL
'95
- A Forum for Research and Technology Advances in Digital Libraries, sponsored by
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, will be held May 15 - 17, 1995, at the
McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner, VA. Advanced registration is due by May 1,
1995.
