The Laboratory for Hydrospheric Processes (Code 970) of the Earth Sciences Directorate at Goddard Space Flight Center is responsible for a broad range of programs dealing with theoretical and experimental research in the oceanic, cryospheric and hydrologic sciences. The comprehensive expertise within the Laboratory, which is discussed in more detail in the individual Branch sections, constitutes an end-to-end capability involving instrument, algorithm, and model development; the validation and analysis of remotely sensed data from a wide variety of sensors with in situ hydrological data, and ultimately, the application of these data to geophysical process studies and global change investigations
