The Washington Weekly

The Washington Weekly is a national newsmagazine that is published on the Internet. The Washington Weekly provides an alternative or supplement to the traditional media, both in format and editorial style. In The Washington Weekly, analysis and opinion is clearly separated from news reporting. Our news reporting is a return to the time-honored tradition of reporting what people say and do, not why we think they said and did something. In other words, you will find honest and unbiased reporting. We attempt to report both sides of an issue and give the reader enough information to form her or his own opinion.

On the editorial page, on the other hand, you will find bold conservative opinion that runs opposed to the prevailing media wisdom. Letters to the editor provide for a forum for lively debate.

The electronic format also allows the Washington Weekly to be a more extensive source of information for the informed and intelligent reader. We will try to have the full text of bills, statements, speeches, statistics and other key documents and information, available for download.

As the name implies, The Washington Weekly emphasizes U.S. national politics, but without the "inside the Beltway" view. We emphasize the perspective of the people, and include reporting on citizen initiatives and third party alternatives.

Get the story that is not reported in the national media, get the angle that is left out, get the opinion you will never hear. Broaden your horizon by supplementing your news sources with the Washington Weekly.
