The next ADASS meeting, IV, is taking place in Baltimore, hosted by STScI
The Third Annual Conference on Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems October 13-15, 1993 Victoria, B.C. Canada Sponsored by Dominion Astrophysical Observatory National Research Council Canada Department of Physics and Astronomy University of Victoria National Optical Astronomy Observatories Space Telescope Science Institute Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory
This conference will provide a forum for scientists and programmers concerned with algorithms, software and software systems employed in the reduction and analysis of astronomical data. An important element of the program is to foster communication between developers and users with a range of expertise in the production and use of software and systems. We also hope to expose developers and users to developments in other areas of computer science which may have applications in an astronomical context.
Contributions to the program are invited in the areas of algorithms, software, systems, and related topics, with emphasis on practical solutions to the problems of treating real data. This conference will highlight the following special topics:
The conference will extend over three days. Two and 1/2 days will be devoted to contributed and invited speakers and poster sessions. The last part of the third day will be reserved for user group sessions, and for special interest discussions, selected on the basis of participant interest. There will also be special interest discussions one evening during the meeting.
A more detailed announcement, which includes information on hotels, registration, abstracts, etc. is available here. The material authors will need for preparing their manuscripts is located here.
