GEOmetry LABoratory (GEOLAB)
The Geometry Laboratory
GEOLAB is an open-shop facility in the Information Systems Division (ISD) of the Internal Operations Group (IOG). It is available to address the numerical
geometry needs of the Langley Research Center community. The primary
objectives of GEOLAB are
- support of surface modeling and grid generation requirements, and
- investigation and evalution of emerging technology.
To accomplish this, the necessary hardware and software tools are
provided in GEOLAB and are accessible to Langley researchers. An
experienced permanent staff works on projects in conjunction with
the researcher in one of several ways: consultation or
collaboration on specific applications; initiation of a task request;
or group training. Researchers may also co-locate in the
GEOLAB for a few weeks to a few months on a space-available basis.
